The USMNT finds themselves in a very winnable Group C heading into this summer’s Copa America. There is more good news for the United States as the soccer games will all take place in America.

Now, this comes with its complications because whether the USA will have a “home” crowd at every match depends on the matchup. The United States is indeed a melting pot with large groups from other countries.
The USMNT have a chance to win Group C with their biggest threat likely being Uruguay. Panama and Bolivia round out the group.
Let’s take a look at how the 2024 Copa America shakes out for the USMNT .
USMNT’s History With Copa America
The United States has not played in Copa America since 2016. America is still looking to win the tournament for the first time in the country’s history.
The USMNT went on a deep run during their last Copa with The Yanks finishing fourth. This tournament was also in the United States and the results indicate the USMNT’s chances in 2024 are trending upward.
That said, Uruguay is the current favorite to win Group C at -135 with the USA in second at +135 odds, per BetUS .
The USMNT Needs a Big Tournament From Christian Pulisic
Don’t look now Chelsea, but your ex is thriving after the very public breakup following months of AC Milan.

The American wonderkid already has 5 goals in his first 13 appearances with Milan. Just like the 2022 World Cup, the USMNT will go as Pulisic goes. Let’s hope the star’s play in Italy will carry over to international tournaments.
Christian Pulisic continues to cement himself as one of Milan’s most important players after adding another beautiful goal. 🇺🇸

Hopefully, this time Pulisic won’t need to use his crotch to score a crucial goal. Pulisic’s World Cup goal was critical, but the United States needs more than just one moving forward.

Is GGG Coaching for His Job?
USMNT manager Gregg (hence the GGG nickname) Berhalter is like the roommate you never wanted who just keeps sleeping on the couch. Berhalter managed to survive a crazy scandal involving Gio Reyna’s family.
The USMNT bringing back Berhalter shows this guy appears to have impenetrable job security. With the United States hosting two major tournaments in the next three years (including one you may have heard about called the World Cup) it is reasonable to wonder if Berhalter is coaching for his job at Copa America.
If the USMNT struggles on home soil, it would not be a surprise if the federation finally makes a change. At this point, there would be two years to go before the United States hosted the World Cup.
If the USMNT doesn’t atleast reach the semifinals of Copa America should Gregg Berhalter be fired? pic.twitter.com/OShAGvJmxN

The clock is ticking for the USMNT to start clicking before hosting their big homecoming party in 2026.
