Swiatek New Wimbledon Favorite Following Shock Withdrawal

2024 Women’s Wimbledon R3 Odds

World number one Iga Swiatek is the new favorite with 2024 Women’s Wimbledon R3 odds following with withdrawal of Aryna Sabalenka.

The Polish player is the +275 favorite following two rounds in London, but there has been good betting for Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff.

The women’s Wimbledon bracket is wide open, so it’s anyone’s tournament to win.

Swiatek Swinging Away

The 23-year-old, who has five grand slam wins to her name, has yet to drop a set at Wimbledon.

Although it hasn’t been vintage Swiatek tennis, she’s getting it done, including a first-round win over tricky American Sofia Kenin.

She has now won 21 consecutive matches, and we don’t see that ending anytime soon. Even with Sabalenka in the field, Swiatek was our top pick to win the tournament.

Her Wimbledon results aren’t as good as other grand slams, but she’s still improving, and the draw is now much easier.

“When you switch to any surface, first couple of matches are not going to be comfortable and you have to accept that,” Swiatek said after her first round. “But looking at how I’m playing on practice court, I feel like I’m doing progress every year, and every year is a little bit faster for me, the process of adapting to the surface.”

2024 Women’s Wimbledon R3 odds have Swiatek at +275, and that’s worth taking. She will only improve as the tournament progresses.

Former Champion Rybakina Firms

Elena Rybakina is a +350 chance to win Wimbledon, and her Wimbledon schedule is made easier with the defeat of Jessica Pegula.

The American fifth seed was bounced from the tournament on Independence Day, and Rybakina now has an easier road to the final.

The 2022 champion breezed through her first round, but she needed three sets to get past Laura Siegemund in the second round.

There were some tense moments for the 25-year-old, but she held strong and she’s a good chance of winning in London.

Don’t Scoff at Gauff

Coco Gauff is now on the second line of betting at +300, which is a good betting move for the American.

She has looked the most impressive to date, dropping just six games from two matches. She won 6-2, 6-1 in the second round, and although she hasn’t faced anyone hard, it’s still impressive.

The 20-year-old is the best American player in the tournament, and with a few years experience under her belt, she could start winning grand slams consistently.

The 2023 US Open champion has backed her serve, which was always her struggle.

“I just have a lot of confidence in my return game that makes the serving a lot easier. I know I can get the power when I need to. I’m just trying to focus on continuing that and not losing confidence in it.”

Getting +300 with 2024 Women’s Wimbledon R3 odds is too good to up. She’s marching to another final, and she could get the better of Swiatek and Rybakina.

Local Hero Bounces Back

Emma Raducanu was the darling of the court in England after winning the 2021 US Open, but her career has been marred by injury and poor form since.

The 21-year-old took advantage of a strange US Open to win, but take nothing away from her, she earned the victory.

Her form since has been terrible, and that’s putting it nicely. Off-court modeling and injuries haven’t helped her focused, but she looks much better so far at Wimbledon.

She dispatched Elise Mertens 6-1, 6-2 in her second round match, which made the sportsbook take notice.

It was forced to firm her to +900 to win, which we didn’t see coming before the tournament started.

Raducanu has a busy schedule with doubles action, including mixed doubles with Andy Murray. However, she’s taking it in her stride, and stranger things have happened in women’s tennis.

As the tournament progresses, bettors should expect her odds to firm. She faced Maria Sakkari in the third round, and she’s ranked ninth.

If she gets past Sakkari, expect the +900 to firm to around +700.
