Who Will Win The NFL MVP In 2024?

Two Former MVPs Headline the 2024 NFL MVP Future Odds

The NFL MVP should just be named “Best Quarterback Award.”

In the NFL, a quarterback has won the MVP in 12 consecutive NFL seasons. The last time a non-quarterback won the MVP was back in 2012. That was when Adrian Peterson rushed for over 2,000 yards. Before him, the last non-quarterback to win was in 2006 with LaDainian Tomlinson. Many young fans don’t know who he is.

  • This is why the MVP odds board consists of 18 quarterbacks before we saw Christian McCaffrey’s name.

Below, we’ll decide on the best bets for the 2024 NFL MVP future odds.

Chiefs logo Patrick Mahomes (+500)

Patrick Mahomes is the favorite to win the MVP this year. However, despite winning a Super Bowl, he didn’t win the MVP.

Ultimately, Mahomes and the Chiefs didn’t have their typical regular season. Mahomes was just 6th in ing yards, 8th in ing touchdowns, and 8th in QBR.

He wasn’t the best quarterback in the NFL last year. However, he turned it on in the playoffs and helped lead the Chiefs to another Super Bowl.

That said, Mahomes is a two-time MVP winner and has done it in such a short period. Mahomes has only been in the league since 2017 and has been the Chiefs’ starter since 2018.

That means played in six seasons and has won the MVP in half of them. That’s why he’s the best player in the NFL and could chase Tom Brady for many records later in his career.

So is Mahomes valuable at +500? No. Can he win the MVP this season? Certainly. Will you want to bet on the Chiefs using the NFL against the spread this season? Also, yes.

Bills logo Josh Allen (+800)

Allen is second on the NFL odds board.

The Bills’ starting quarterback has never won the MVP before.

In addition, Allen probably has the worst ing cast of his career with the Bills this year. He no longer has Stefon Diggs or Gabe Davis. Instead, his top receivers are Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman.

Shakir has shown glimpses of stardom and many analysts are high on the rookie Coleman. But a lot has to go right for Allen to find his way into the MVP race late in the NFL season.

Buffalo’s offense doesn’t look good enough to even be in contention. That could change with the wide receiver group stepping up. And if the Bills find a way into the playoffs, Allen would deserve much credit.

If all goes well, voters will do right by him. Allen just wouldn’t be one of our NFL expert picks.

Texans logo C.J. Stroud (+1000)

C.J. Stroud had a dominant rookie season with the Houston Texans. The second overall pick earned more than 4,100 yards ing and threw 23 touchdowns with only five interceptions. Meanwhile, his QBR was 15th in the NFL at 57.5.

Stroud looks like a promising quarterback. But what stands out the most is the wide receiver room. Houston dealt with many injuries last season at that position.

But heading into the year, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Noah Brown will all be healthy. The Texans also added Stefon Diggs and running back Joe Mixon to help out the offense. They’ll also bring back Dalton Schultz, who expects a solid performance this season.

Houston’s offense is stacked. We’ll see if Stroud can contribute at a high level in his second season with Houston. The Texans have the highest 2024 NFL Playoffs odds to start the year in some time.

Bengals logo Joe Burrow (+1000)

When Joe Burrow is healthy, he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Despite earning a spot in the Super Bowl one year, he’s never won an MVP with the Bengals.

However, in the two seasons when Burrow was healthy, he had seasons with at least 4,475 yards ing and 34 or more touchdowns.

Burrow told the media he’d added more muscle to his body frame to limit NFL injuries.

The Bengals also found a way to keep Tee Higgins happy heading into the year. Burrow will again have Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as his two top receivers.

Furthermore, the Bengals added tight end Mike Gesicki and improved the offensive line to protect Burrow from getting injured again.

We feel Burrow will be safer in the pocket and make better decisions to stay on the field. If he can do that, he’ll be in the running for an MVP.

If the Bengals can win the AFC North, Burrow will look like one of the best quarterbacks in the league. That entire division is a gauntlet.

Consider Burrow at +1000 after checking the 2024 NFL MVP future odds.

Jets logo Sleeper: Aaron Rodgers (+2500)

Aaron Rodgers is getting old. He’s also coming off an Achilles injury. But this is a guy who has won three MVPs in his career.

Rodgers also won two of these MVPs not too long ago: in 2020 and 2021. With the New York Jets, all eyes will be on him. If he can make the Jets relevant, he’ll be appreciated more than any other quarterback.

Why?

No other quarterback has been able to take the Jets to the promised land. It’s also clear that Rodgers wants to prove doubters wrong.

For one, many think he’s past his prime. Second, he just got hit with a major injury that kept him out of last year. Some suggested he retire. Instead, he recovered and is ready to take the field this year.

Despite winning multiple MVPs, Rodgers is still a sleeper this year when looking at the 2024 NFL MVP future odds.
