Tottenham Still in Champions League Race

Tottenham put their four-game losing streak to a halt by condemning Aston Villa as both teams have two matches to play.

Even if Spurs miss out on the top four this season, they have made strides under Ange Postecoglou. They have their definitive style and Postecoglou has stamped his ideas on his players. If they pick up just one point from their final two matches, they’ll finish in fifth place and qualify for the Europa League. Since Harry Kane’s departure, this has been Son Heung-min’s team and he’s certainly produced this season.

The South Korean international has scored 17 times and provided nine assists this season. After a difficult first season in London, Richarlison has also come through with 11 goals of his own and actually leads the team in goals per 90 minutes. Spurs are dealing with some injury problems as all of Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Ryan Sessegnon, Timo Werner and Manor Solomon could miss this one.

Man City Two Wins Away From History

A look at the Manchester City standings shows they’ve had another excellent season. They’re in second place, one point behind Arsenal, who have played one more game than City. Josko Gvardiol scored twice in Man City’s dominant 4-0 win over Fulham on Saturday. It was City’s seventh Premier League win in a row and they haven’t lost since December. Man City are just two wins away from an unprecedented fourth-straight Premier League title win.

While Manchester City’s big Erling Haaland’s stats show he’s scored seven times in his last five EPL games. He also leads the league, with 25 goals and is well on his way to his second straight Golden Boot. Kevin De Bruyne missed the first few months due to an injury but he’s proving why he’s one of the greatest midfielders in EPL history.

He has four goal contributions in City’s last four matches and it’s no surprise they haven’t lost a match since he returned in January. Phil Foden has also been superb and City have the luxury of counting on a bunch of different players for offensive contributions. Left winger Jack Grealish missed Saturday’s match due to an illness but he should be in contention on Saturday.

Tottenham vs City Match Analysis & Odds

Our Tottenham vs City preview notes that even a draw (+475) could be disastrous for Manchester City. It would put City level on points with Arsenal with one game to play and Arsenal’s goal difference is three goals better than City’s at the moment. So, Guardiola’s side will be going all out for the win here and there’s even a contingent of Tottenham fans rooting for City so Arsenal don’t win the title.

Still, expect Postecoglou to want to win this match just as much as any other game. Tottenham are +500 home underdogs vs. City, though. Bettors should note Manchester City haven’t won an EPL match on the road at Tottenham since 2019 but the stakes have never been higher.

City are -245 favorites, which is no surprise given the form they’re in. When Rodri plays, City haven’t lost in 90 minutes in any of their last 71 games, which is one of the more unbelievable stats out there. Bettors can take Spurs +1.5 at -120 odds, while Man City -1.5 sits at even odds. City have won their last three games by a four-goal margin and have been on fire as of late. Both over and under 3.5, 4 goals are priced at -110 in a must-win match for the visitors.
