Paraguay Asks Swimmer Luana Alonso To Leave Olympic Village

There are many sidebars to 2024 Summer Olympics. So, it makes one wonder what “inappropriate behavior” would be as Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso has been unceremoniously asked to leave the Olympic Village by her home country.
Paraguay’s Olympic Committee expressed upset over her choosing Disneyland Paris instead of ing teammates.That’s a bizarre use of “inappropriate atmosphere.”
“Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay” Larissa Schaerer, the head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, said in a statement published by the outlet. “We thank her for proceeding as instructed, as it was of her own free will that she did not spend the night in the Athletes’ Village.”
So, a swimmer who didn’t make it out of her heats in the pool is making waves outside of it.

That would mean, for example, the 120 Track and Field athletes from Team USA will receive 2,520 condoms, or 21 condoms per athlete. Divided across the 19 days of official competition, that comes out to about 1.11 condoms per day.
Back to Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso, a 20-year-old who retired after failing to advance in the 100 butterfly. She finished sixth in her heat with a time of 1:03.09, which was far slower than 1:00.37 from her heat in the Tokyo Olympics three years ago.
One report indicated Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso had visited Disneyland Paris rather than staying in the Village to her fellow athletes.
“Swimming: thank you for allowing me to dream, fight, try, persevere, sacrifice, and stay disciplined,” she wrote.
Alonso is an internet sensation with 534,000 followers on Instagram. That is despite only posting 26 times.
